Cultural Community Event for Peace Building
We organized Cultural Community Events for Peace Building to celebrate and strengthen the unity among diverse tribes and ethnic groups in the region. The program aimed to promote mutual understanding, appreciation of different cultures, and lasting friendship among the communities across two districts.
Representatives from eight (8) tribes across 15 project villages, including two apex student bodies — KSO-SH (Kuki Students’ Organization, Sadar Hills) and SDSA (Senapati District Students’ Association), along with village leaders, women’s groups, youths, and children, actively participated in the event.
The celebration featured folksongs, traditional dances, and skits that showcased indigenous ways of resolving conflicts and promoting peace. These performances reflected the spirit of cultural harmony and peaceful coexistence among all participating communities.
